EMDR Consultation for Therapists

For EMDR-trained therapists who want to feel more clear, confident, and supported when working with complex trauma, PTSD, and grief — and who are looking to integrate a more somatic, nervous system–informed approach into their work.

EMDR Consultation for Therapists with a Somatic & Nervous System Lens

For EMDR therapists who want to feel more clear, confident, and supported when working with complex trauma, PTSD, and grief — and who are looking to integrate a more somatic, nervous system–informed approach into their work and EMDR therapists seeking EMDRIA consultation hours for certification.

I offer EMDR consultation that integrates somatic awareness and nervous system regulation into the clinical process. My intention is to support you not only in what to do clinically, but in how you stay present, regulated, and attuned in your work.

“My approach is collaborative, reflective, and practical. We take time to think carefully about your cases and make space for the moments where the work feels unclear, overwhelming, or stuck — especially when working with developmental trauma, dissociation, or more complex clinical presentations.

This consultation may be a good fit if:

  • Working toward EMDRIA certification or Somatic EMDR certification

  • You are trained in EMDR and feel grounded in the basics, but find yourself needing more clarity or direction when working with complex trauma, dissociation, or layered presentations

  • You’re working with clients navigating PTSD or grief, and want a deeper understanding of what is happening in your sessions — not just what to do next

  • You notice moments where clients become overwhelmed, shut down, dissociate, or don’t seem to shift, and you want to respond in a way that feels more attuned and effective

  • You’re interested in integrating somatic awareness and nervous system understanding into your EMDR work in a way that feels clinically meaningful and grounded in real practice

  • You’re looking for consultation that supports not only your clinical skills, but also your presence, confidence, and capacity to stay with complexity

  • You value depth and ongoing learning — whether you are continuing to build your foundation or you are an experienced therapist who wants to keep growing, refining, and expanding your clinical thinking

I am an EMDRIA-approved EMDR Consultant-in-Training (CIT) and a trauma-informed therapist. My work is informed by advanced training in the following areas:

  • Somatic — attending to the body, affect, and nervous system

  • Relational — exploring therapist–client dynamics with curiosity and compassion

  • Polyvagal-informed - understanding the nervous system patterns of regulation and protection

  • Resilience-oriented - - "increasing window of tolence/capacity to handle adversity and bounce back

  • Integrative — drawing from EMDR, somatic therapies, parts work, attachment theory, poly-vagal theory, and mindfulness-based practices

  • Collaborative and non-hierarchical — consultation as shared learning, not evaluation

I also bring a multicultural and multilingual perspective, offering consultation in English, Spanish, and Portuguese.

In our work together, we may focus on:

  • How the nervous system is shaping what is happening in your sessions

  • Recognizing and working with dysregulation, overwhelm, or dissociation

  • Deepening case conceptualization and treatment planning

  • Integrating somatic awareness attachment-informed, and nervous-system-based interventions into EMDR processing

  • Understanding and supporting your own presence, regulation, and clinical decision-making
